Snow Day Activities and Smiles for World Snow Day

Did you know the third Sunday in January is World Snow Day? Yep, every year this holiday celebrates snow sports and the beauty of nature’s coolest precipitation. This year, World Snow Day falls on Sunday, January 18.  

World Snow Day is the perfect excuse to slow down, bundle up, and enjoy a little winter magic. Whether you’re building snowmen, sipping cocoa, or staying warm indoors, our Snowman and Snowflake Cookies are one sweet way to celebrate. Pair them with fun snow day activities for a day full of smiles. 


 Snow Day Activities for World Snow Day

Indoors or outdoors, put on a pair of skates and glide on the ice.

Find a Hill and Go Sledding

You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy this one. And you don’t even need a sled (a kitchen tray will do!). As soon as you have a few inches of snow, grab your friends or your kids, find a hill, and have a ball. 

 

 

Make a Swedish Snow Lantern: 

These are pretty outdoor decorations you can make from the environment! And there are so many ways to make them!

Go Skiing 

This is prime skiing time! Practice for international competition the Olympics (or maybe just stay on the bunny hill) and hit the slopes this winter. 

 

 

Build a Snow Fort

If you’re lucky enough to live in an area that gets a lot of snow you’ll have a lot of white fresh powder to work with! There are tons of tutorials online to borrow from — or you could justcan try your own design! 

Blow Freeze Bubbles

Mix corn syrup and dish soap and then dip a bubble wand into this mixture to blow bubbles in the snow. The bubbles will actually freeze if the weather's in the single digits!
