What Is a Boo Basket? Everything You Need to Know

Boo baskets have become one of Halloween's favorite traditions. Learn what they are, who to surprise, and how individually wrapped cookies make the perfect sweet addition.

Boo Baskets are a fun way to surprise family members, friends, neighbors, or anyone with a Halloween basket of goodies and treats. Sometimes they feature a specific theme or design, and depending on the recipient, they can include a variety of items ranging from treats, plush toys, books, candles, pajamas, and other seasonal items. But with so many options, it can be difficult to curate the perfect Boo Basket. Check out some festive suggestions for creating the perfect Boo Basket with a SMILE.

When curating a Boo Basket at home for your child, start with a festive theme, like a treat for your “little pumpkin.” Start out with our Pumpkin Pail Cookie Pack, featuring 24 mini Jack-O-Lantern Cookies. Next, peruse your favorite retail stores to add some cozy accoutrements, like a pair of Halloween pajamas with a cute pumpkin print, a Halloween story book, and pumpkin plushie. This way, you and your kiddo can cozy up with a sweet treat and a bedtime story during Halloween week.

If your teen is too old for trick-or-treating but still loves Halloween treats, surprise them with a frightfully fun Boo Basket! Build their basket around our spooky Coffin Cookie Pack, complete with 24 mini Mummy Cookies or 12 regular Mummy Cookies. Next, add some seasonal caramel cocoa packets to pair with their cookies. Then, peruse and choose from our festive and fun Halloween shirts. Finally, top it off with tickets to a local haunted house or a showing of a scary movie!

Your hardworking best friend or spouse deserves a surprise Boo Basket, too! Start by building their basket around our Cauldron Cookie Pack and choose 24 frightfully festive mini cookies, like our mini green Monsters. Next, shop around for a matching Halloween mug and a pack of their favorite seasonal coffee pods. Then, when Halloween week rolls around and they need a festive little pick-me-up, they can relax with a mini Monster Cookie (or two) and a hot cup of coffee!
